Are you looking at using Kosta from Kynisi Courier Systems to ship your frozen embryos/eggs/sperm around the world ?. Well this is a blog to warn you to consider not using them. You don't want to go through what myself and others have gone through and have your embryo's kidnapped by the heartless, incompetent and rude individual who owns the company. Kynisi is exceptionally unreliable and unprofressional.
I couldn't even begin to tell you the whole story, plus it makes me feel ill every time I think about it!
But to cut a very long story short, myself and another client both booked independently with Kynisi to transport our embryo's to New Dehil, on the recommendations of our respective IVF clinics here in Australia.
We were told it would take 3 days for our Embryos to reach India....in the end it took a total of 45 days due to a number of reasons - all the time the owner could not be bothered to even contact us to let us know where and when the embro's were - we only found out that he had failed to get them into the country as our Dr in India rang us to tell us that the individual was so rude and unprepared that he got kicked out of customs. When we asked for an explanation as to why he did not do the necessary paperwork prior or contact our clinic prior for the required paperwork, he said he could not get them on the phone. He did not even try. He tried to tell us that he could not rely on a email or a mobile phone number !! This guy is living in the dark ages. Despite both of us booking seperately, he had our embro's in the same shipper and would not treat us as individual clients. We both had to decide and agree where we wanted the embryo's to go after he got kicked out of Dehli. He also lied and told us that he would return them to Australia free of charge as he could not do his job - a week later he re-negged and started demanding money.

They went from Australia to San Francisco then to London and onto Delhi where they were "detained" by Customs because he had not done the correct paperwork prior to arriving. They then went back to London and then finally back to Delhi but only after we had to do Kynis's job for him and do the paperwork for the import! We were paying this guy thousands of dollars to do a job, the reason we hired a "so called professional" in the first place was that we did not want to be bogged down with paperwork but we eneded up having to do his job for him and then he held us to ransom for the $ - even though he did not do his job. I won't go into the details behind this as it's not necessary..suffice to say it was a living nightmare for both parties involved. This man had no ethics - he made someone else with no expeirience do his job for him and then held us ransom for the money - pathetic !!!
If he had done his job in the first instance and made sure all the appropriate documents etc were in place BEFORE leaving Australia this would never have happened. He is a liar and a very rude individual who just did not care that he was dealing with someone's potential children - both parties involved had already lost two babies each, and could not go through IVF again - however he just did not care and told us that we were just "infertile women - mounring our genetics". This guy is really the lowest of the low, and has a small man syndrome and the intelligence of a weed. Do not trust your precious cargo with this company -even if they are slightly cheaper. Do not rely on any communication you receive via email. If you have any doubt, ring and ask for everything in writing. Ask for a copy of his insurance documents - he won't give it to you !!

The only reason we chose him was because he was recommended by our clinics + he hand carried.

There are no two ways that India is the world leader in attracting patients from across the borders for medical treatment in India like shipping frozen embryos to india, surrogacy cost in india, Surrogate mothers India, Surrogacy in India, Indian surrogacy, gamma knife, brain surgery at best hospitals in India.

I have very similar bad experience with Kynisi. Now they are black mailing me and my wife. He has kiddnaped our samples and wants more money. He is a lair and heartless person. I already spoke with a lawyer and will take him to the court.
PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE. NEVER USE THIS COURIER!!!!
Hi! did you manage to resolve the issue? I'm about to go to a court too as he could not transfer our embryos for 3 months now and doesn't reply on our emails with the return request.

DeleteI also wish I had read this before. Just had an awful experience with Kynisi too, though clearly from above it could have been worse. He took 3 months to transport a sample just 45 miles and he only did it then after weeks of chasing. I had paid up front of course. No information, no explanation, no apology. He just says "I can't see this has been done." He then copied someone totally unrelated in on personal emails - appalling breach of privacy. Again no apology or acceptance of responsibility - just said "it defaulted to the wrong address". Rude and unreliable. Do not use!!

ReplyDeleteAgreed, Kynisi is a *ucking joke. Calls himself the specialist IVF shipper then sends NHS patient data through an irresponsible courier APC Overnight that sold on the transfer paperwork to me.

Kynisi took our deposit in October 2017 and never scheduled the shipment too. Moreover, we never received our payment back. Think twice if you want to work with him.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had seen this before I used him! Kosta is negligent! Kosta delivered my embryos to the wrong hospital despite all the instructions/consent forms/labels informing of where to deliver them. They were left unattended in the wrong hospital until his negligence was spotted. Kosta has not responded to calls from the hospitals and emails/calls from me to address this situation. I am utterly heartbroken that my last chance to have a family may have been destroyed do to his blunder. These embroyos were frozen prior to me having chemotherapy so are so so incredibly precious, Kosta has failed in his duty of care and is now simply ignoring me and providing zero explanation/apology of why this could have happened. All the hospitals I am dealing with will never use him again and are corresponding with the HEFA in order for him to be banned from couriering. Please do not use him.

ReplyDeleteAgain: This company is a complete scam! He charged us for GBR 450 2 years ago when promised delivery from Spain to Canada. I have never received ANY service NOR I received money back. The reviews about him- correct. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME and MONEY. He NEVER contacted my clinic and never replied to me on my emails. Kosta is a Scammer!!! I am surprised he is still doing this business. His should go to a jail for such scam!!!

ReplyDeleteI’m so disappointed we didn’t read all these reviews before engaging his services. Kosta has basically used the same bullying tactics as described in these reviews. This is very REAL. Please take our feedback seriously and use other more well known cryoshipping companies. Kosta is basically asking you to write a blank cheque.
MO:
1. He sends a quote lower than competitors.
2. Phones within 1 hour of quote to discuss costs and proceeds to ask you to accept a significantly increased amount (20% higher than original quote). Says that this increased price takes into account any Covid incidental costs. His language and tone is to get you on side.
3. He sends you an invoice for deposit and confirms delivery will take place within 2 days.
4. Once deposit received he goes radio silent, doesn’t reply to emails, text messages or voice messages.
5.When he finally surfaces (for a brief moment) he proceeds to lie about his whereabouts and travel plans and before you know it you’re in this crazy nightmare desperately chasing him to find out where your precious cargo is.
5. He goes radio silent again (we think he does this make one feel even more desperate).
6. Almost a week later he makes email contact and gives you very little information and more excuses (none of which can be substantiated even if you call him on it). If he doesn’t like your questioning he just ignores it completely.
7. After further radio silence and when he thinks you’re about to to cancel, he notifies you that he’s on the flight and making his way for delivery.
8. Within 24 hours he is suddenly demanding 40% more than the original quote and threatens to charge you a penalty amounting to 11% of original invoice (on a daily basis!) unless you agree to pay the final amount immediately. He refuses to deliver before full payment is received.
9. He then tells you he’s the only one able to deliver during Covid times so good luck finding someone else. He also sends you a fabricated table with associated costs. He does not provide you with any expense receipts or actual proof of expenses. He tells you he’s had to take more flights than expected and uses travel restrictions for this - yet he is unable to provide travel tickets proving this.
10. He finally delivers when you pay in full but he leaves it to the last 30 minutes of the day (just before the lab closes).
He is utterly despicable, preys on the weak and vulnerable - basically holds you to ransom before delivery.
He uses extortion/blackmail to get what he wants.
Words of advice:
If you are currently in this situation, cc your clinic and fertility specialist in all emails. The only thing he cares about is his reputation with the clinics!!! Because we did this, we at least managed to receive confirmation from our clinic that he has actually arrived at the delivery destination. If we hadn’t of CC’ed everyone, he would have insisted on prepayment in full prior to delivery (despite the delivery already being 2 weeks overdue). Hold your ground!!! Do not give in.
Ensure your clinic knows that they are not to email him without you being CC’ed. He likes to play everyone up against each other. Keep everyone in the loop all the time. He doesn’t like this as he really needs to communicate when this happens.
He likes to discuss any new or additional costs verbally, never by emai. He LIES LIES LIES. So get everything in writing via. Do not take phone calls - rather tell him to email you instead. Stay away from text messages. Stick to emails with all parties included (especially your clinic na fertility specialist if possible).
